Mercury was a mid-priced automobile brand created by Ford Motor Company to sit between Ford and Lincoln. It operated from 1939 to 2011, producing sedans, coupes, wagons, and SUVs. Mercury often shared platforms with Ford and Lincoln, but was marketed as a more premium alternative to Ford. Over time it became known for models like the Cougar, Grand Marquis, and Sable before being discontinued in 2010.
