Premier Automobiles Limited (PAL) was an Indian automobile manufacturer founded in 1944 by industrialist Walchand Hirachand. The company became one of India's automotive pioneers, producing passenger cars, trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles through partnerships with international manufacturers such as Fiat, Chrysler, Peugeot, and Mitsubishi. PAL is best known for the iconic Premier Padmini, a sedan that became a symbol of Indian motoring and served for decades as one of Mumbai's most recognizable taxi models.
