Saturn was an American automobile brand established by General Motors to build compact cars and compete with Japanese imports. It operated with a semi-independent structure, featuring its own manufacturing plant, dealer network, and a “no-haggle” pricing system. The brand introduced lightweight plastic body panels and focused on customer-friendly sales practices. Over time, Saturn became more integrated into GM’s global platform strategy. Production ended in 2009, and the brand was discontinued shortly after.
