Zastava Automobiles was a Serbian and former Yugoslav car manufacturer established in 1953, best known for producing Fiat-based vehicles under license, including the iconic Yugo series. The company played a major role in the regional automotive industry but faced severe disruption due to political instability, sanctions, and war. Vehicle production ended in 2008, and its facilities were later taken over by Fiat Automobiles Serbia.
