ZAZ (Zaporizhzhia Automobile Building Plant) is a Ukrainian automobile manufacturer based in Zaporizhzhia. The company’s modern industrial identity traces back to 1923, when the plant was reorganized as “Kommunar.” It later became part of the Soviet automotive industry and began producing passenger cars in 1960 with the ZAZ-965, evolving into one of the most important carmakers of the USSR.
