LuAZ was a Ukrainian vehicle manufacturer specialized in compact, rugged off-road utility vehicles built for military and rural conditions. Its LuAZ-969 series became its most recognized product, valued for simplicity and strong terrain capability. The company later moved into assembly work and was eventually absorbed into larger automotive groups, ending its independent production.
