American automobile manufacturer based in Detroit that produced cars from 1909 to 1954. It was known for models like the Hudson Hornet and innovative engineering, and later merged with Nash-Kelvinator in 1954 to form American Motors Corporation (AMC). The Hudson brand was discontinued in 1957.
