Hanomag was a German engineering company based in Hanover that produced steam locomotives, tractors, trucks, construction machinery, and military vehicles. It became internationally known in the 19th and early 20th centuries for its locomotives and later expanded into agricultural tractors and automobiles. Over time, Hanomag shifted toward construction equipment, and in 1989 it became part of the Japanese company Komatsu.
