Simca (Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carrosserie Automobile) was a French automobile manufacturer established with the involvement of Fiat. Following World War II, it became one of the leading automotive producers in France, recognized for successful models such as the Simca Aronde and Simca 1100. In the 1960s, the company gradually came under the control of Chrysler. Eventually, Simca ceased to exist as an independent brand in 1978 when its operations and assets were absorbed into PSA Peugeot Citroën.
