Overland Automobile Company was an early American automotive manufacturer that played a key role in the development of mass automobile production in the United States. Originating in Indiana and later relocating to Toledo, Ohio, the company evolved rapidly under J. N. Willys and became the foundation of the Willys-Overland brand. Overland vehicles were positioned in the affordable mid-market segment and contributed significantly to early U.S. automotive industry growth before the brand was fully absorbed and restructured in the 1920s.
